Today's Assembly

Third and fourth graders described their Nature Trail Project.  They are improving the Nature Trail as animal habitat and for human use.  Improvements include clearing, building walkways over wet areas, and tagging 20 different tree species.  They asked that donations small and large be placed in a labeled box in the office.  Photo by Alice Leeds

Lincoln Energy Committee members Henry Wilmer (as a reporter) and Stephen Taylor (as Carbon Dioxide) made sense out of the CO2 problem.  As CO2 explained himself, the atmosphere is becoming crowded with CO2 and forming a "blanket" which keeps the heat near the earth, causing warming.  Photo by Alice Leeds

New Lincoln Community School Web Site

If you haven’t noticed yet, our school has a new web site.

We’re hoping to have far fewer out of date pages (none at all) and a lot of interesting things here. We are very interested in any suggestions you might have.

Please email any thoughts to rruane at anesu.org (substitute the @ sign for at and don’t leave any spaces).

Thank you.

It's summer at the Lincoln School!

No school doesn't mean nothing is happening here at the Lincoln Community School. While most people are out of the building, work is happening. It is the time of year that major maintenance projects get done. Walls are being repaired and painted. Floors are being redone. Doors are being fixed as needed and cleaned.

All the technology items are getting the once over with repairs being done and new ideas put into place.

And speaking of new ideas, groups of teachers can be seen periodically getting together to discuss next year, collaborating and planning. They are also talking about the classes they have taken this summer.

And of course there is the garden. Despite our late frost and a wet summer so far, things are growing!

See you in August!
