Sandy announced that Lincoln will receive full funding from the Technology
Literacy Grant.
II. Minutes
The minutes of the May 20, 1997 meeting were reviewed and accepted with
no amendments.
III.Review of the Technology Plan
Rick Good reported that he and Alice Leeds had walked through the building
to assess all rooms in the school for computer placement/usage. Rick noted
that a closet in the hall could be used as a wiring closet . Another possibility
is downstairs next to current wiring panel. An electrician will need to
advise the school on best placement.
In terms of a computer lab, the Resource Room is probably the best location.
The school will need to consider purchasing a network printer (probably
for the mini-lab if and when it is created). A mini-lab would warrant hiring
a technical support person. In terms of wiring, two outlets should be placed
per room. Rick will create a drawing to show where the computers are currently
located. Matt noted that a work table should be in the mini-lab for kids
to work while others are using computers.
Bill Jesdale reported that he has tallied the results of the staff survey.
IV. Next Meeting Date
The next meeting was set for June 23 at 6:30 p.m..
V. Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:40 p.m.
